How to carefully handle your SWIR camera?

There are some things you need to pay attention to when transporting, using, and storing SWIR camera. Today let’s take a look at these precautions.

Packaging

Gatherstar SWIR camera is specially stored in waterproof, moisture-proof, and shockproof packaging box when it leaves the factory.

Before shipping, you must first pack it in the box.

a) Appropriate protective measures should be taken during transportation, such as shockproof, fireproof, sun-proof, rainproof measures etc.. And long-distance transportation should also consider using shock-absorbing and fastening package;

b) The product should be handled with care, and stacked neatly to prevent falling, crushed by heavy object, and bumping.

Storage

Gatherstar camera should be stored in the original box if not using for a long time. It should be stored in room temperature, low humidity environment. Do not store it together with flammable, explosive, highly toxic, corrosive, radioactive objects.

Camera cleaning

When there is dust on the camera, you can blow off the larger dust particles with dust ball, then brush the dust with a brush, and finally clean it with a cloth.

Detector surface cleaning

Due to use of the lens and environmental pollution, the detector window will inevitably have dust. Please refer to the cleaning method of the optical filter when you need to clean the detector window surface.

1) Wear anti-static gloves and remove the front cover;

2) Remove dust particles on the window surface with dust ball;

3) Clean the window surface with a special absorbent cotton swab for optical cleaning, dipped in a small amount of alcohol ether 1:10 solution.
