With the rapid development of infrared detection and infrared guidance technology, the survival of aircraft is increasingly threatened. How to reduce the infrared radiation characteristics of aircraft has become one of the key technologies to improve stealth capabilities.

The infrared radiation characteristics of an aircraft are mainly determined by the infrared radiation of the aircraft skin, tail nozzle, tail flame, and other high-temperature components. The infrared radiation of the aircraft skin includes its own radiation and reflections on other radiation sources such as the background and atmosphere, mainly concentrated in the 8-14 um band. The infrared radiation of the tail nozzle, tail flame, and related high-temperature components is the infrared radiation of the exhaust system, mainly concentrated in the 3-5 um band, and is the main radiation source in the rear hemisphere of combat aircraft. Therefore, studying the infrared radiation characteristics of the engine exhaust system is of great significance for the design and improvement of engine infrared stealth.
